L'Osterial'Osteria in Piazza Angelio is a lively, informal restaurant with outside terrace. Riccardo and his staff provide excellent, home cooked local food at very reasonable prices. The bistecca di maiale (pork chop) and the tagliata di manzo (beef steak) are always excellent. Try the piatto dell'Osteria for a selection of local antipasti (hors-d'oevres). A good starter or dessert is the pecorino con miele e noci (sheep's cheese, honey and walnuts!

.

da Riccardoda Riccardo in the Fosso, just outside the Porta Reale, is a superb restaurant, with a terrace which provides a stupendous view across the valley. Adele and Riccardo provide fantastic home cooked local food. Favourites include their hot seafood salad, the stinco di maiale (shin of pork) roasted in the wood fired oven, and pannacotta for dessert.

da Aristoda Aristo (Casciani) in Piazza del Comune is often the scene of impromptu concerts, and keeps a number of musical instruments for visiting musicians. The narrow cafe bar serves a "piatto freddo" (cold platter of local hams, salami and cheese with olives and foccaccia) which is worth sampling at lunchtime or in the evening.

VerdelunaRecently opened Pugliese restaurant. Tiny with only 4/5 tables indoors and the same out in the piazza. Interesting menu but service can be a bit erratic. Not somewhere to go if in a hurry!
